Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Group Sales Manager with a

demonstrated ability to develop and close overnight group retreats. This role is ideal for

someone passionate about closing sales and creating memorable group getaways, whether for

corporate teams, non-profits, foundations, leadership groups, parishes, churches, Catholic and

Christian faith-based groups, or family reunions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to close group bookings for day and overnight retreats
  • Build relationships with executive assistants, planners, and others to close group bookings (methods would be calls, emails, text messages, networking events or trade shows, organizing site visits)
  • Conduct FAM visits and group tours of retreat facilities
  • Collaborate with marketing and event teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging in sales interactions
  • Prepare proposals, manage contracts, and track leads through a CRM system (currently using Monday.com) in conjunction with the Director of Hospitality, as needed
  • Coordinate with the Executive Chef to customize food and beverage experiences for groups
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and maintain detailed records of communications, outreach, and group sales conversions
  • Stay current on competitor offerings and industry trends to adjust selling strategies accordingly

Requirements:

  • Commitment to the Heritage vision, mission, and core values.
  • 4+ years of experience in hospitality, hotel/retreat group sales, or related field
  • A strong Christian faith
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated success in “cold calling” to generate qualified leads
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A strong team player who handles adversity with maturity, professionalism, and a “can-do” attitude
  • Able to bring some referrals to the table from previous jobs
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • A demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Google Suite (PMS proficiency a plus)
  • Knowledge of retreat programming, food & beverage sales, and group dynamics
  • Some weekends may be required to be on-site with groups
