Join our Mission

Heritage is rebuilding a community of faith and restoring the first Catholic settlement in Georgia into an entire Catholic district. Located in Taliaferro County, Heritage includes

  • Locust Grove Cemetery, the oldest Catholic cemetery in Georgia, established in 1790;

  • the Church of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built by the first Catholic congregation in Georgia;

  • The Retreat, a 200-acre retreat center with cottage accommodations, prayer and fellowship spaces, walking trails, sacred art, and

  • The Farm, a working farm that provides food and programming for the Retreat.

Facilities Manager

Hospitality Assistant

The Hospitality Assistant works as part of the Heritage hospitality team to provide radical hospitality to our retreat and program guests. Ministry & Service Ambassador Program

Join the Heritage Team as a Ministry & Service Ambassador!  Spend nine months living on-site at Heritage to develop a rhythm of life and prayer in community with other ambassadors and with a servant's heart be the light of Christ to our guests. Our MSAs will grow together in their faith, and relationships with others and be ready to confidently pursue a life of service to Christ and His people in any vocation.
